SHAPING FUTURE ENGINEERS – ENOVATE PARTICIPATES IN BENEDICTINE ACADEMY CAREER DAY
Enovate’s team is experienced in taking leadership roles on large complex projects. We bring leadership and involvement to any scope we are tasked with, large or small. As such, we take an active role in shaping the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) community. Enovate team member, Dana Kfir, participated in an engineering panel for Benedictine Academy, a Catholic college preparatory high school in Elizabeth New Jersey, at their annual Career Day on April 18, 2018.
“I was honored to share my story and career path with the students at Benedictine Academy along with Dr. Patricia Morreale of Kean University” said Dana. “On the panel the girls heard about STEM fields in the context of today’s challenges. It was great to get intelligent and relevant questions on career planning and industry opportunities from the students. More than anything, it is important to me to stress to young girls that they have the freedom to choose what they want to become.“
Dana’s experience includes over 12 years multi-national experience in project and design management on projects ranging from infrastructure projects through civil and marine projects. Prior to joining Enovate, Dana served as a Major in the Israeli Defense Force’s Engineering and Construction Department, taking the role of a project manager on high-profile projects. One of Dana’s priorities is engineering for safety, and she has conducted research on the implementation of safety knowledge across all aspects of design, planning and execution to maximize safety during construction. Additionally, Dana is on Professional Women in Construction’s Mentorship Committee and takes part in the mentorship program.
